Ralph Obenberger is the 24th person to serve as the Mono County Sheriff-Coroner. Ralph began his law enforcement career in 1985 with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. In the year 2000, he moved his family up to Mono County and started his Mono County career as a June Lake resident deputy. Over the past years, he has worked a variety of assignments with both departments ranging from Field Training Officer, Dispatcher, Special Assignment Deputy, Helicopter Observer, Chief Deputy Coroner, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Undersheriff.
Undersheriff Robert Weber graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. Prior to beginning his career with the Mono County Sheriff’s Department he taught for the Compton Unified School District. He began his career in Law Enforcement with the Mono County Sheriff’s Department in 1998.
Lieutenant Phil West came to the Mono County Sheriff's Office in 2002. He began his law enforcement career with the Bishop Police Department in 1990 after working in private industry beginning in 1977. Over the past years, he has worked a variety of assignments with both departments ranging from: K9 handler, Mounted Patrol Officer/Instructor, Special Entry Team member, Resident Mono County Deputy, Field Training Officer, Firearms Range Master/Instructor, Chemical Agent Instructor, Patrol Sergeant, and Assistant Chief Deputy Coroner.
