Road Design Specifications

For development of roads and driveways, see the Mono County Road Improvement Standards and Fire Safe Regulation documents below. The County's Fire Safe Regulations provide minimum design guidelines for emergency vechicle access.

For proposed private parcel access accross Forest Service or Bureau of Land Management (B.L.M.) land, also see supporting documents below. In most cases, a grading permit will be required for building a road or driveway.

See also Encroachment Permits page for authorization to perform work within a County right-of-way or County Road.
