National Police Week 2015

This week, the Mono County Sheriff’s Office pays tribute to the men and women that spend each day keeping the citizens and visitors of Mono County safe.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designates May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as National Police Week. Events are held across America this week to honor all local, state and federal law enforcement officers for their tireless dedication to serving our communities. Every day, the brave men and women of law enforcement put on their uniform, pin on their badge and put themselves in harms way to protect and serve. Even though this is the official week to recognize our peace officers, we are truly grateful for their service and sacrifice every day!

Please join us in recognition of our Deputies of the Mono County Sheriff’s Office and all our law enforcement officers throughout Mono County! Thank you for your passion, dedication and commitment to our safety, above all else! - Jennifer M. Hansen, Public Information Officer
