I would like to welcome you to our web site. As the 21st person to serve as the Sheriff of Mono County I am honored to represent the men and women that comprise the Sheriff’s Department. Our dedicated personnel are committed to the best service possible to the citizens and visitors of Mono County. With changes in technology since Sheriff N.F. Scott was elected in 1861, we are better able to respond to the needs of our citizens and visitors, however it is my commitment that we not lose sight of the personal service that has been a core value of Mono County Sheriff’s Department. MISSION STATEMENT
It is the objective of Mono County Sheriff's Department to provide professional, responsive service to the public. In the furtherance of this objective, each member of the Department shall constantly strive to personally develop and maintain the highest ethical and professional standards in both personal and official conduct. Collectively, the Department will strive to maintain a secure, peaceful, and orderly society within the County of Mono through the proper and diligent discharge of its responsibilities.
