Court Services

There are two Superior Court locations in the County of Mono. The North County Court is in the town of Bridgeport and the South County Court is in the Town of Mammoth Lakes. All of the in-custody cases are handled in the Bridgeport Court, although Mammoth Court is actually the busiest handling various other type cases. The case load is handled by two Superior Court Judges along with a visiting Judge from Alpine County (who appears several times a month).

The Bridgeport Court, which was built back in 1880, is currently going through a remodel with an addition of an elevator for wheelchair access.

The Mammoth Court is currently located on the 3rd floor of the Sierra Center Mall, along with other County Offices. A newer court facility is in the planning stages, with larger holding facilities, etc.
